Alam nyo ba na Filipinos makes the big slice of Friendster users sa mundo. According to the 2008 report ni David Jones, VP for Global Marketing ng Friendster, "Of the 39 million unique visitors recorded in March 2008, about 13.2 million unique users are from the Philippines" ... biro mo yan? Talagang it indicates na ang Pinoy has the biggest population of Friendster users in the world, nalagpasan pa natin ang U.S. where it is originally launched. Pinoy Friendster users are beetween 13 years old to 25 years old.

Pero bakit parang nagkaroon ng 360 degrees turn..from a Friendster user into a Facebook user...?
Kumbaga, talo ang Friendster when it comes to demographics. According to Dr. B.J. Fogg, Director ng Persuasive Technology Laboratory sa Stanford University, notes that Facebook is a "persuasive technology", an interactive system designed to change human behaviors. Users are persuaded to create an account, update their profile & status, join an organization or a cause, at the same time, naa-update din ang mga friends mo kung anung ginagawa mo sa profile mo. Makikita mo si "friend A" na nag join ng ganitong organization or nag-upload ng magandang picture. Si "friend B", makikita mong may bago siyang blog and may request pa to join a game (e.g. farmville, barn buddy, etc.). You will be encourage as a Facebook user to join on some activities na ginagawa ng mga friends mo...kumbaga, mahirap ng mahuli sa uso.

On the other hand, still..napakadami pa din gumagamit ng Friendster with the same age group. In the Philippines, Friendster started it all when it comes to social networking, parang nagsunuran na lang itong Multiply, Myspace, LinkedIn, Hi5 & of course, Facebook...

Addictive isn't it?... Social Networking Sites change the way we look at the internet.

If u love someone, u will know everything about her without asking her; if u don't love someone, u will forget everything even if she told u everything.

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science.
